The unforgettable performances

Artamis enjoys music and theater. Often, members attend fabulous performances: concerts, operas, music festivals and theatre plays. It is always a special moment, an emotional instant for unique evenings:
Memorable the world first performance of " Verdi Requiem " where images of Michelangelo's frescoes of the Sistine Chapel, were associated with the musical dynamics Verdi, "Hamlet" in the Garnier Opera House of Monte Carlo, "Les Nuits de la Courtine”.
"Noces à deux sous" an extraordinary spectacle in Saint Paul. We have all been invited to the wedding feast ! A very hilarious comedy about the “unexpected” of a marriage. "Don Quixote ", " A Couple in danger ", and many more, not to mention, the performances designed by Diana Landi “The silk Road", « L’inventaire de Prévert », « Heidi Melano, exceptional mosaicist».

The Museums of the French Riviera

Regularly, Artamis visit the museums and exhibitions of the French Riviera. All tours are private with a specialized guide: find the right time and the right person for an exceptional and unique visit often guided by the curator himself. CAPRON Exhibition

Beautiful summer ride in Valbonne, where the city sets an urban walk around the sculptures created, from 1982, by R. Capron, world-renowned French ceramist.
Capron charged the artist Rheinhold HARSCH to recreate his artworks on large-scale (3 times the original ceramic model) molded in concrete and charged his wife Jacotte for their coloring. The walk brought us to the ADA Loumani gallery, to meet an extraordinary glass maker who shared with us his sources of inspiration to create beautiful dreamy vases.
We have especially admired a vase in yellow and sepia tones inspired by Mondrian, the chair inspired by Picasso and Fernand Léger in a beautiful cubist synthesis.

Evening Jacques Prevert

Unique show for Artamis : rediscover Jacques Prévert, great French poet of the twentieth century whose texts are still taught in all French schools.
Having know him personally , Gabriel Vila, also poet and singer, accompanied by the pianist Robert, offered us a magical moment.
The great Prévert, declaimed with passion and emotion.
Thank you, Gabriel, for this superb show very balanced between laughter and tears, and the great Prévert that you made us rediscover. Everyone realized this evening how much we are all pervaded with his poetic vision of everyday life.

Stadium of Nice

The members of ArtAmis association have been invited to a private tour of the stadium in Nice during its construction work.
The architects JM Wilmotte and Vinci, responsible of the project, brought us, with torches and helmets, to visit the spectacular work of laying the outer covering of the facade before its inauguration in 2013.

Jean Cocteau : two days discovery

In the French Riviera Jean Cocteau means visit the new Museum Jean Cocteau finally opened after many years of work on the seafront in Menton.
There are 1800 pieces of art, including 900 works of Jean Cocteau, gathered in a building designed by Rudy Ricciotti with a giant lizards drawing, the favorite animal of the artist. Absolutely amazing and beautiful!
Our guide showed us many unknown parts of the personality and life of Cocteau, linking the various facets of his creative talent, largely relied on severe mental anguish and seeking their resolution through the early stages of psychoanalysis.
After the visit we had lunch in a very friendly pub on the seafront, Don Ciccio.
We completed Jean Cocteau art discovery visiting his former residence and workshop, villa Santo Sospir in Saint Jean Cap Ferrat which contains many frescos and personal objects.
We had a great picnic on the beach and a digestive walk.

Visite de la Crypte Archéologique (Nice)

After enjoying the best Nice "Socca" and nice ice cream at Fenocchio in Old Nice, we went to see the latest exhibition MAMAC, "Klein, Byars Kapoor." Very interesting and organized under three main colors, one for each artist, the exhibition was followed by a visit to the archaeological crypt of Nice.
The crypt is located in the central Place Garibaldi and was discovered a during the excavations for the new tram.

Historic Monument, this crypt of more than 2000 m² has been a journey through time, from the fourteenth to the eighteenth century with the Tour Pairolière the north walls and the old aqueduct.

Franta

The artist FRANTA received us in his workshop for a private visit. Showing us his paintings, his sculptures the artist explained us the tragic sources of his inspiration and his evolution toward the beauty of the art of Mali primitive tribes.
His work is strong, powerful, overwhelming. Some of his artworks are at MOMA of New York, others in Japan where he donate a monumental sculpture to keep alive Hiroshima memory.
A beautiful moment with a great artist of Czech origin.
Franta

Maeght Foundation

Every year the Maeght Foundation (Saint Paul de Vence) hosts a summer exhibition on the most famous modern and contemporary artists.
Artams organizes every year a private guided visit to this great museum to admire its masterpieces of Garouste, Immendorff, Calder, Chillida and many more.
We have visited an outstanding retrospective of the work of Alberto Giacometti with more than 150 works, and special exhibition on Miro, a very close friend of Maght family and particularly interesting the approach of BHL on Art &Philosophy... We will always close the day with a great lunch at Diana & Marco home

Expo Rose Grasse

Grasse, the world capital of the parfume organize every year an international rose exhibition.
It has been s a special occasion for Artamis to come to Grasse and visit its monuments specially decorated for the festivities: the Town Hall, the Perfume’s Museum, the Cathedral and particularly the ‘Villa Fragonard’: place where the painter lived and his master pieces.

Jazz at villa Domergue

Every year during the Jazz festival at Villa Domergue in Cannes, we are invited to listen some great voices and new talents of jazz, a style which re-invent itself continuously to give us a music more and more alive.
After a dinner cocktail at Edouard and Marie Helene we come to enjoy the artists performance on a temporary stage built in the great Italian style gardens of the villa.
We close our evening with a fabulous night picnic on the beach lighted by the romantic Chinese lanterns where champagne is invited too!

Deanna Gao & Festival du Cinéma Chinois de Paris

May 15th 2012 - welcome to Deanna Gao of Paris. During the dinner the artist, introduced Calligraphy as a form of art showing us the secrets of fine traits and the strong relationship that exists between western and Eastern art.

Bernard Venet 2011

You probably know Bernard Venet masterpieces, but may be you have not been at his private mill. Artamis yes!
After a short visit of Cotignac and lunch at a delicious restaurant we have enjoyed a private visit of Bernard Venet foundation and his monumental work.
